The Globe of Science and Innovation, a metaphor for the Earth itself, embodies the CERN’s message to society in the fields of science, particle physics, cutting-edge technologies and applications. Measuring 27 meters high and 40 meters in diameter, the Globe is an unusual visual landmark by day and night. The ground floor “Universe of Particles” exhibition offers visitors an immersive journey into the world of particles right the way through to the big bang.
